Candidate Criteria

Level 3 Certificate, Junior Certificate or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant life and work experiences.
Learners will require a good command of the English language and a good level of numeracy and literacy.

Course Content

•Appreciate why they should maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and safe handling practices
•Recognise how food can be put at risk by biological, chemical and physical hazards
•Develop good work practices to ensure the safety and wholesomeness of food from delivery to serving or offering for sale or supply to the consumer
