Experienced Operator - CSCS Slinger Signaller
The purpose of this course is to assess the operator’s ability to demonstrate safe slinging and signalling operations to an acceptable standard. It covers a wide range of operating conditions and activities, and aims to promote safe working practices which comply with current legislation.
•Using appropriate hand signals
•Using correct chains and slings for the job
•Certification and testing of chains and slings
•Blind lifts and associated hazards
Assessment will include:
A Practical assessment.The practical test has a max time of 1hr in which all tasks must be completed
A Theory test. The theory test has a max time of 45 mins. The test is multiply choice and a min of 70% must be achieved to pass this section
•18 or over
•Hold a Valid Safe Pass Card
•Match languages like with Like
•Hold a valid New Entrant CSCS trainee operators card & fully completed log book.
•Meet certain criteria to qualify for Recognition of Prior Learning.
All learning material will be provided by FRS Training. You will be registered and certified with Solas through our centre.
Successful applicants will receive Solas card and QQI Level 5 Specific Purpose Certificate
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid Safe Pass Card and complete a Candidate Form. This is to ensure that all those attending this course have sufficient skills and knowledge to comfortably meet the required standards.
