Terms and Conditions

FRS TRAINING SOCIETY LTD: TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

Enrolment and Booking

Applications for training courses may be made online through the FRS Training website or by submitting a completed booking form. Applicants are advised to enrol as early as possible to secure a place on their chosen course.

A booking confirmation will be issued by email once an application has been received and processed. For bookings made outside normal working hours, confirmation will be issued on the next working day.

A place on a course is not guaranteed until full payment of the applicable course fee has been received.

Entry Requirements

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they meet the entry requirements for the course at the time of booking. Where applicable, evidence of prior qualifications or relevant experience may be requested by FRS Training.

No refunds will be issued where an applicant subsequently fails to meet the required entry criteria for the course.

Course Fees and Payment

All course fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of training.

Course fees include tuition and course materials such as notes and handouts unless otherwise stated.

Cheque payments are not accepted.

Certification Fees

Certification fees are included in the course fee unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.

Where a course leads to certification from an external awarding body, the cost of certification and administration is incorporated within the overall course price. Participants will not be required to pay additional certification fees unless specifically indicated in the course information prior to enrolment.

Assessment and Certification

Participants must complete all required course assessments and meet the relevant assessment criteria in order to be eligible for certification.

Where a course leads to an accredited award, assessments will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the relevant awarding body.

FRS Training does not guarantee that participants will successfully achieve certification. Certification is issued only where the required standard has been achieved.

Where a participant is unsuccessful in an assessment, they may be offered the opportunity to repeat the assessment in accordance with the policies of the relevant awarding body and any applicable repeat assessment fees.

Participants who fail to complete required course attendance, practical activities, or assessments may not be eligible for certification.

Cancellations and Transfers

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled course start date and time.

Where cancellations are made within 72 hours of the course start time, the full course fee will be charged. Fees paid within this period are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Pre-paid fees will not be refunded in the following circumstances:

  • Failure to attend the course without prior notification
  • Where a participant attending Safe Pass training does not have a valid PPS number and has not obtained a process number in advance
  • Where a participant arrives more than 15 minutes after the scheduled course start time

Course Changes or Cancellation by FRS Training

FRS Training reserves the right to modify course content where necessary and to cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient enrolment, trainer availability, or circumstances beyond our control.

Where a course is cancelled or does not proceed as scheduled, applicants will be offered an alternative course date. If the alternative date is not suitable, a full refund of course fees paid will be issued.

FRS Training accepts no liability for any additional costs incurred by participants as a result of course cancellation or rescheduling.

Learner Responsibilities

Participants are required to attend the course on time and to follow all instructions provided by the trainer, including all health and safety procedures.

Participants must bring any documentation or identification required for certification purposes.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own lunch and refreshments unless otherwise stated.

Health and Safety

Participants are required to comply with all health and safety instructions provided by FRS Training staff during the course. Where practical training is involved, participants must use equipment only as instructed by the trainer.

FRS Training reserves the right to remove any participant from a course where their behaviour presents a safety risk to themselves or others. In such circumstances course fees will not be refunded.

Medical Conditions and Accessibility

Applicants are required to inform FRS Training in advance of any medical condition, disability, or learning requirement which may affect their participation in the course or require reasonable accommodation.

FRS Training will make reasonable efforts to provide appropriate support where possible.

Substitution of Participants

Where a booking has been made by an organisation, a substitute participant may attend in place of the original participant provided FRS Training is notified in advance and the substitute meets the course entry requirements.

Additional charges may apply where certification details have already been processed.

Limitation of Liability

FRS Training shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in a training course, including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation expenses, loss of earnings, or other associated costs incurred by participants.

FRS Training’s total liability in respect of any claim relating to a course shall not exceed the total course fee paid by the participant.

Data Protection and Privacy

FRS Training processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information collected during the booking process is used solely for the purposes of course administration, communication, and certification. Personal data will not be used for any unrelated purpose.
