Experienced Operator - Slinger Signaller
The purpose of this course is to assess the operator’s ability to demonstrate safe slinging and signalling operations to an acceptable standard. It covers a wide range of operating conditions and activities, and aims to promote safe working practices which comply with current legislation.
Description
•Using appropriate hand signals
•Using correct chains and slings for the job
•Certification and testing of chains and slings
•Blind lifts and associated hazards
•Practical Test
•Theory Test
Contents
Assessment will include:
A Practical assessment on the machine
A Theory test
Candidate Criteria
•18 or over
•Hold a Valid Safe Pass Card
•Match languages like with Like
•Hold a valid New Entrant CSCS trainee operators card & fully completed log book.
Or
•Meet certain criteria to qualify for Recognition of Prior Learning.
Course Notes
All learning material will be provided by FRS Training. You will be registered and certified with Solas through our centre.
Successful applicants will receive Solas certification and card.
