Floor and Wall Tiling

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to complete a range of wall and floor tiling activities in a supervised environment.

Contents

Learners will be able to:

*Select the materials and tools required to complete a range of tiling activities
*List the sequence to be followed when laying floor tiles and fixing wall tiles
*Prepare an area for tiling
*Cut tiles using hand and power tools
*Fix and lay floor and wall tiles
*Grout and clean floor and wall tiles
*Follow designs and patterns for fixing and laying tiles
*Apply appropriate health, safety and personal hygiene procedures when tiling floors and walls.
